Including the residents' names on the transportation calendar, rather than just the addresses of their appointments, is essential for streamlining operations and improving communication among staff.

What is the impact?

Many of our residents attend the same medical centers for appointments with multiple practices within them. When only displaying the addresses, it makes it difficult to quickly differentiate appointments/residents without having to click on each and every appointment multiple times. We create paperwork for each resident, that is sent with them to the doctor, to be tailored to the specific type of appointment they have. By not seeing the residents' names, this can be confusing on what type of appointment they may have when looking at the weekly schedule broadly. Furthermore, by looking at a residents' name, we know whether other staff members are needed to aid in transfers in and out of vehicles. Our transportation schedule fills up with over 30 appointments per week and when adding new appointments its easy to overbook or double book a resident if you cannot see their name on the calendar without clicking into each event. This clarity allows staff to quickly cross-reference medical needs, mobility equipment, or specific resident preferences, ensuring a smooth and personalized experience.
