Residents would like to learn more about each other and have their biographies be viewable in the directory. Residents should have the option to opt in to sharing their own biography similarly to how they can opt into the directory today. Also, since they are sharing the biographies themselves, residents should have the ability to view and edit their own bio from the Resident portal/app. This may require further thinking/feedback to understand if we need a separate bio area for residents and staff. Are staff putting information into the resident bio that should not be shared with other residents? Perhaps we modify the bio to include a separate "for staff eyes only" section.

Staff felt like they needed a place still to enter things that only staff should see. Whether we call it "bio" or not, they didn't particularly care - but the way they are using the bio now it's not something would be shared with residents. The Resident bio is something that either the resident themselves or maybe the family member in AL/MC settings can see and edit for themselves, then they can opt into showing it to others in the community. They wanted it it to be able to include pictures of themselves and/or their families, and it needs to be continuously editable - so that they can update it whenever they want and others will see their changes.
