Make unregistering for an event more clear

Have the button used for unregistering be clearly labeled with text such as "Unregister." This makes it more apparent to the action residents are taking as they don't understand why they need to click it again to unregister.

Biometric authentication or a 4 digit pin would simplify the sign-in process and make it more accessible. Residents have a lot of trouble remembering their login. This would simplify the process for them, save them time, and avoid frustration.
